Com a remodelação do portal de BD CentralComics.com on-line, posso destacar a minha intervenção nela; nomeadamente com a ilustração do topo, coisa que na meia-dúzia de anos em que colaboro naquele portal (assinando artigos) ainda não tinha tido oportunidade de fazer.

Quando me foi pedida estava a tirar uns bem merecidos dias de férias no Algarve, porém tortuosos, motivo pelo qual o desenho não saiu muito bem… Passo a explicar: devido a lesão muscular no ombro, ao praticar Kendo, tive de começar a imagem à canhota. Por algum motivo o esforço a que era obrigado com aquele braço magoava-me menos os triceps e deltóides do que no braço direito, ambos os quais estavam no final duma rápida recuperação duma queimadura de 2º grau recente (don’t ask). Talvez por isto a ilustração tenha saído meio enviusada, embora tivesse alternando entre as duas mãos, deixando os detalhes minuciosos para a mais apta.

EN Since the revamp of the news portal CentralComics.com is online, I can now show my intervention in it; namely the header illustration, something which I hadn’t yet had the chance to do, although I’ve been collaborating there for the past six years, writing articles and critics.

When it was asked of me, I was enjoying a well-deserved holiday, albeit tortuous, reason why the drawing didn’t came out right… Here’s why: due to a lesion on the shoulder, practicing Kendo, I had to start the image with my left hand. For some reason the effort I was forced to do with that arm hurt the triceps and deltoides less than those on my right arm, both of which where just finishing a speedy recovery from a recent 2nd degree burn (don’t ask).
Maybe that’s why it wound up slightly skewed, although I went about it alternating between hands and leaving the fine details to the more apt hand.
